Black Canyon Majesty
I've never been real happy with many of the canyon photos I have taken during the day at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, mostly because of the shadows cast by the walls in the sunlight are difficult to overcome. Friday was a revelation (sometimes I am not the quickest to pick up on these things!) as on an overcast and a little bit rainy day I was able to capture the magnificence of the canyon and avoid those shadows. The clouds also add a bit of moodiness that I like as well. This photo appears in the new e-book entitled "Hidden Gems of the Western United States" and can be found at http://www.nationalparksandmore.com/ebook/.
