Sweet Sora
I had captured a sora only one other time, that being in the Bailey Tract on Sanibel Island, Florida. It was in some underbrush along the water and the light was bad as was the background.
This time I was set up with my camera and tripod pointed at the cattails waiting for a marsh wren to land in just the right spot so I could isolate it. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the flash of a bird a short distance away. I turned and was surprised to see this sora quickly scooting towards the safety of the cattails. I had but a second or two before it disappeared, not to be seen again. Lucky me!
