Morning Glory

Patience does have its rewards. Marsh wrens live in a dense world of cattails and reeds and getting a shot of one isolated with a creamy, blurred bokeh was a goal I had set for this particular morning. I had been waiting by a cattail hoping that a marsh wren would land on it. While one did land behind it, the bird never did come into full view. After about 10-15 minutes I packed the camera and tripod back up in my jeep. Crawling along I saw this little fellow posing exactly as I was hoping for! Not wanting to scare him away, I picked the camera up off the seat and with the 600mm lens balanced on the passenger window sill I snapped away. He obliged my patience and rewarded me with about four minutes of singing and posing before he flitted away. I think we both went away happy!
